Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SearchBrief, operated by Tim Meuleman ("we", "us", or "our"), accessible at searchbrief.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

SearchBrief connects to your Google Search Console account (with your permission) and delivers a weekly email digest containing keyword performance data and one AI-generated action item. The service is delivered every Monday at approximately 08:00 CET.

2. Account and eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use SearchBrief.
• You are responsible for keeping your dashboard link confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity associated with your account.
• You may not use SearchBrief for unlawful purposes or in violation of these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• SearchBrief is offered as a monthly subscription (Solo €19/month, Growth €39/month, Agency €79/month).
• A 14-day free trial is included. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
• All prices are in euros and exclude VAT where applicable.

4. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect immediately.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
• If you have been charged in error, contact us at contact@searchbrief.io within 7 days and we will issue a refund.

5. Google Search Console access

• SearchBrief requests read-only access to your Google Search Console data. We never modify, delete, or write to your Search Console account.
• You can revoke access at any time via your Google account settings or from your SearchBrief dashboard.
• You confirm that you have the right to grant access to the Search Console properties you connect.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service
• Share your account access with third parties outside your organisation
• Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it

7. AI-generated content

SearchBrief uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate weekly action items based on your data. These action items are informational suggestions only and do not constitute professional SEO, legal, or business advice. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or effectiveness of AI-generated recommendations. You are responsible for evaluating and acting on any suggestions.

8. Service availability

We aim to deliver weekly digests reliably every Monday. However, we do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted delivery. Digests may occasionally be delayed due to technical issues, Google API availability, or maintenance. We are not liable for missed or delayed digests.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SearchBrief and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual property

SearchBrief and its content (excluding your data) are the property of Tim Meuleman. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without prior written permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request data deletion.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
